Volunteers - Our Lifeblood
A list of volunteers over the past year would near 3,000 ………..
Most volunteers help out in the kitchen sorting, chopping, cutting, mixing, baking and generally having a great time. And with a nigh on nil attrition rate of regular volunteers, there must be magic going on in our kitchen… Many volunteers come in to the kitchen regularly; others when they can.
Many others lend their time and skills to help in other ways, such as fundraising, administration, or writing and designing our newsletter and website. We have architects, bankers, marketers, real estate agents, designers and writers. Fenton Communications have chosen us as their pro bono client, and NAB employees lend their skills and expertise outside of the kitchen.
We have had a wonderful flood of people sign up to volunteer in our kitchen over the past couple of months and we are temporarily not accepting any applications for volunteering in the kitchen. The exception to this is groups which may still apply for one-off shifts.
